Brockton, MA W/F Tilton Ave.

Brockton FAO transmitted Box 3531 for a reported house fire. Engine 5, Squad A, Engine 4 and Ladder 1 were dispatched with Car 56 in Command. Car 56 arrived with smoke showing from a 1 1/2 story dwelling and requested a working fire assignment. Engine 2 as RIT and Ladder 4 responded. Engine 5 stretched a line to the rear door and Squad A stretched to the front. Crew found fire on the 2nd floor landing staircase. While advancing Engine 5's line the platform gave way with 1 firefighter falling thru and on the basement staircase. The member suffered minor injuries. Crews move up and knocked the fire down quickly.
