Brockton, MA 3rd Alarm Florence St.

Brockton FAO transmitted Box 2213 at 09:30 for a reported house fire with Engines 5, 2 Squad A due and Engine 5 arrived with heavy smoke showing from the attic of a 2 1/2 story dwelling and ordered a working fire. Engine 4 as RIT, Ladder 1 responding. Several lines were stretched as Deputy Chief Jeff Marchetti arrived and struck a 2nd alarm. Engine 7 responded. Deputy Chief Kevin Galligan arrived as Acting Chief of the Department. Heavy fire conditions continued in the attic area and a 3rd alarm was struck. Engine 3, West Bridgewater Engine and Ladder 4 responded to the scene. The fire was knocked down in about 45 minutes. Avon Engine 1 covered Station 1 with Whitman Ladder 246, Stoughton Engine covered Station 3 and Easton Engine 13 was at station 2.
