Units 1 and 2 were stopped at a traffic light when people hailed them down for a building fire. Fire Alarm was radioed and the Box was transmitted. Engine 8, 9, 7, Ladders 4 and 1 responded. Heavy fire was showing from the top floor of a 6 family 3 story wood frame building. A interior attack was used to knock down the fire in about 30 minutes. Temperatures were in the singe digits with wind chill below zero. This was the 5th fire in 7 days in the city and the 3rd extra alarm blaze.
