Stoughton, MA 3rd Alarm 4 Capen St.
Stoughton Fire was alerted via a walkin to Station 1 reporting smoke for the roof of a 3 story brick apartment building 1 block from the fire house. C-5 arrived and had heavy smoke showing and requested a working fire assignment. Easton Engine 11, Brockton Ladder 1 and Canton Engine were due. C5 requested a 2nd alarm as the fire was located in a cupola atop a 5 story tower in the center of the building. Stoughton crews stretched a 2 1/2 " line into the courtyard and knocked down the overlapping fire. A 3rd alarm was transmitted to help with evacations and feeding the standpipe system so lines could be operated on the 3rd floor roof.
