Boston, MA 4th Alarm Box 342 1/16/2018

Box 342 Codman Sq was struck for a reported fire in a taxpayer. Engines 16, 52, 17, Ladder 6 & 29 with Rescue 2 were assigned. Crews arrived to heavy smoke fro a 1 story brick commercial block about 100 x 100. Upon entering the build fire was found to be in the basement and extending quickly up thru the walls. Due to a billboard on the roof crews were withdrawn and an exterior attack was put in place and a 2nd Alarm was transmitted. A 3rd and 4th alarms were also stuck with special call for foam. Crews work for several hours to knock down the fire.
