Weymouth, MA 4th Alarm Trotter Rd 9/14/2017
Weymouth Fire Alarm Transmitted Box 4010 for a building under construction on the property of the former Naval Air Base, now being converted to housing. Engines 5, 3, 1 Ladder 1 and C2 were due. Engine 5 arrived and struck a 2nd alarm with a 200 x 50 4 story wood frame building involved. Car 2 Deputy Chief Murphy arrived and struck a 3rd alarm with deck guns and ladder pipes operating to protect exposures and contain the fire. A 4th alarm was struck as the fire continued to spread across the 3rd and 4th floors of the building. The fire was contained in about 40 minutes and crews remained on scene thru out the day. Engines from Quincy, Braintree, Rockland, Avon and Hull with ladders from Quincy, Hingham, Holbrook and Stoughton provided mutual aid at the fire. This was the 2nd major fire in an apartment build complex under construction in Eastern Mass this summer.
