East Providence, RI 2nd Alarm Sutton Ave

Firefighters were dispatched to a reported cellar fire in this 1 1/2 story private dwelling. EPPD arrived 1st and had heavy smoke in the basement. Engine 5 was just clearing an EMS run in the neighborhood and arrived seconds later and notified Fire Alarm they had a Working Fire. As they were stretching a line the Officer requested a 2nd Alarm. Heavy fire and smoke quickly spread thru the entire house and crews were evacuated from the building. Engines 5,1,3 Ladders 3,1 responded on the Box Alarm. Engine 2, Special Hazards 1 were assigned on the working fire and Engine 4 on the 2nd alarm.
