Brockton, MA W/F 648 Summer St. 12/25/2014

Brockton FAO transmitted Box 5231 for an abandonded factory in the Campello Section of the city. The building is a 3 and 4 story woodframe factory that has been vacant for several years. Ladder 2 with Capt. Tilton in charge arrived to find fire showing from the roof area. Crews stretched 2 lines into the fire area and along with an operating sprinkler sysem were able to contain the blaze within 30 mintues. There have been a few attempts to set this building on fire over the years. An active skrinkler system has been maintained in the building. Engines 2, 4 Squad A and Ladder 2 responded on the Box with Engine 12 (RIT) and Ladder 1 taking in the fire on the Working Fire.
