East Bridgewater, MA 3rd Alarm 12/11/2012
About 18:00 on 12/11 East Bridgewater ff's were dispatched to a reported cellar fire. Upon arrival crews found heavy smoke showing from a large 2 1/2 story wood frame house built in 1880. An interior attack was made into the celler and Command ordered a w/f assignment. Firefighters found fire running the pipe chases to the 1st floor and heavy fire blew out several cellar windows on the exposure 1/4 corner. A 2nd alarm was struck followed several minutes by the 3rd alarm. Crews manning 8 engines and 2 ladders battled for a couple of hours using an interior attack and finally gained control of the fire. The last 3 pictures were from a fire at the same address in October of 1985.
