Shortly before 20:00 hours on 10/1/2009 Engine Co's 2,4, Lad 2 and Squad A responded to Warren Ave on the city's southside for a reported house fire. Lt Sweet of Lad 2 advised they had smoke showing from a 2 1/2 story woodframe house and reported it a working fire with Lad 1 responding as the w/f company. Heavy fire was showing from the top floor rear of the building. Several lines were streched and a 2 Alarm was sounded as fire broke thru the roof. Engine's 5 and 7 responded on the 2nd Alarm and the fire was confined to the top floor.
