Central Falls RI 5th Alarm 12/29/2009 : About 11 AM firefighters from Central Falls and Pawtucket responded to a reported building fire @ 444 Rooservelt Ave. Fire was discovered in a 2 story brick vacant commercial about 75 X 10 with interconnecting buildings. Very high winds and sub zero wind chills hampered efforts of several cities and towns in knocking down the fire.

East Hartford, CT 5th Alarm 12/7/2009 : About 9:00 am on December 7, 2009 East Hartford CT. Firefighters were disptched for a commercial building on George St. As the Chief was leaving quarters, he reported heavy smoke in the distance. A 2nd alarm was sounded, quickly followed by the 3rd, 4th and 5th alarms. The building was a 1 story cinderblook office furniture warehouse, about 600 x 100. I did not arrive until about 12:00 and companies were still at work wetting down hot spots. Seven engines, two ladders and the Squad from East Hartford, as well as an engine and ladder from Hartford, West Hartford, Manchester, Glastonbury and New Britain responded to the fire.

3rd Alarm Warren Ave 11/26/2009 : Shortly after 20:00 hr's on 11/26/09 fire received calls reporting a house fire in the Centerville section of the city. Six lines were used in the 2 buildings before the fire was knocked down. 5 Engines, 3 Ladders and Squad A responed to the blaze.

Taunton MA W/F Fern St 11/1/2009 : Shortly before midnight on November 1, Taunton firefighter responded to a reported building fire on Broadway. Engine 4 arrived to find a 1 story cinder block automotive garage with heavy fire showing. Four engines, 1 ladder and the rescue responded to the blaze which was under control in about 30 minutes.

New Bedford MA 2nd Alarm 10/8/2009 : Just before 10pm on 10/8/09 New bedford firefighters responded to this 3 1/2 story woodframe house and struck a 2nd alarm on arrival. Heavy fire was showing from 3 sides of the building. 1 occupant was removed by the crews and later died at the hospital. 4 engines and 2 ladders battled this blaze.

Brockton, MA 2nd Alarm 10/1/2009 : Shortly before 20:00 hours on 10/1/2009 Engine Co's 2,4, Lad 2 and Squad A responded to Warren Ave on the city's southside for a reported house fire. Lt Sweet of Lad 2 advised they had smoke showing from a 2 1/2 story woodframe house and reported it a working fire with Lad 1 responding as the w/f company. Heavy fire was showing from the top floor rear of the building. Several lines were streched and a 2 Alarm was sounded as fire broke thru the roof. Engine's 5 and 7 responded on the 2nd Alarm and the fire was confined to the top floor.

Brockton, MA W/F 9/11/2009 : About midnight the Brockton FAO received 1 call reporting smoke from a vacant house on the westside of the city. Two engines, one ladder and Squad A were dispatched and companies found fire showing from the cellar of a 2 1/2 story woodframe vacant house. Several lines were advanced and a quick knock down was made.

Easton, MA 2nd Alarm 9/14/2009 : In the early evening hours on 9/14/09 Easton firefighters responded to calls being received for a house fire on Mechanic St. Upon arrival heavy fire and smoke was showing from the rear of the house. A 2nd alarm was sounded bring mutual aid from Stoughton, Sharon, West Bridgewater, Norton and Brockton to the scene.

Brockton, MA W/F 9/4/2009 : Brockton, MA on 9/4/2009 at 03:05 hours firefighters responded to a report of a porch fire in the downtown section. Upon arrival heavy fire was showing from a 3 story woodframe tenament. Members of Squad A used a 2 1/2" line to knock down the fire. An interior attack was made and a primary search was conducted. All occupants were accounted for.

Easton, MA 7/10/2009 : Easton, MA 7/10/2009 just after 5 a.m. firefighter responed to a report of a cellar fire in an unoccupied house on Turnpike St. First arriving companies reported a working fire with fire extending from the basement to the 1st floor. Easton crews along with firefighters from West Bridgewater and Stoughton battled for an hour before stopping the spread of fire.

Brockton MA 2nd Alarm on Walnut St. : Brockton MA 5/13/2009 Shortly before midnight the FAO received calls reporting a building fire opposite 42 Walnut St, in the downtown section of the city. Car 56, Deputy Chief Murphy, along with Squad A, Engine 3, Engine 4 and Ladder 1 arrived to heavy fire venting from the 2nd floor front of a vacant 3 story woodframe tenament. A 2nd Alarm was transmitted as the fire extended into the 3rd floor and cockloft. Two 2 1/2" handlines were used to knock down the fire.

Freetown MA 4/10/2009 house fire on Water St. : Freetown MA 4/10/2009 just before 8AM firefighters arrived at 4 Water St, in the Assonet section of town, to find a 2 1/2 woodframe house with heavy smoke from the attic. Crews found fire in the rear on the 1st and 2nd floors extending into the attic. An interior attack stopped the spread of fire and the members made an excellent stop.
